CHIPPEWA YACHT CLUB

Since 1939, Chippewa Yacht Club has fostered, encouraged, and engaged our members in the sport of sailing. Located on the shores of beautiful Chippewa Lake, Ohio, our purpose is to promote recreational and competitive sailing and to provide entertaining social events for our members, families, and guests.

 

​We are the home to racing Y-Flyer Fleet #4 of the American Y-Flyer Sailing Association and Snipe Fleet #621 of the Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA). CYC’s Sunday afternoon races have been a familiar sight to those on the lake for more than 80 years.

​

CYC is active from April through October with races, regattas, and social events. Members are dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the club and volunteer their time to help keep the cost of annual dues as low as possible. Our members also enjoy the club at their leisure to entertain and picnic with family and friends, launch their kayaks for a relaxing cruise or take in Chippewa Lake's stunning sunsets.
